Welcome to the Visa Infinite Dining Series Spring 2017
Market | May 7 | Vancouver, BC
Rarely will you be able to enjoy so much luxurious seafood all in one setting. This wild seafood brunch features some of the most delicious denizens of the sea: caviar, oysters, halibut, sablefish, sturgeon and, of course, BC’s beautifully buttery spot prawns. Best of all, every sweet, succulent mouthful is completely sustainable. With the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise Chef Ned Bell in the kitchen, it could be no other way. He joins Ken Nakano, Executive Chef at Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver and Market by Jean-Georges, and Angus An, Chef-Owner of Maenam, Vancouver magazine’s 2016 restaurant of the year, for what will be an unforgettable feast of delicate flavours and farm-fresh ingredients, all of it paired with equally luxurious BC wines.
Kissa Tanto | June 13 | Vancouver, BC
At Kissa Tanto, it’s all about the fusion of delicate Japanese flavours and comforting Italian textures: Think housemade egg pasta tossed with butter-and-Marsala roasted shiitake mushrooms and topped with miso-cured egg yolk. Now throw the sweet-sour-salty-hot spices of exceptional Thai cuisine into the mix, and you have a dining experience like no other. Kissa Tanto is the sexy Vancouver Chinatown brasserie that just topped enRoute magazine’s best new restaurant list. It is a throwback to the Tokyo jazz cafés of the 1960s, glossy and cool with mid-twentieth century décor, and a terrific place to sip a retro cocktail. For this special dinner, Executive Chef Joél Watanabe welcomes Akkapong “Earl” Ninsom, Chef-Owner of the highly acclaimed Langbaan restaurant in Portland, Oregon. You won't want to miss what these two creative culinarians cook up.
Blink | June 15 | Calgary, AB
Where there’s smoke, there must be Chef Andrew Richardson. The Executive Chef of Vancouver’s CinCin Ristorante launches his first cookbook, CinCin: Wood-fired Cucina, at Calgary’s Blink Restaurant with an epic meal that includes a wood-fired experience on historic Stephen Avenue Mall. For Chef Richardson, this will be a homecoming: he helped launch the award-winning Blink back in the early 2000s. Now it’s Chef Bryan Michaels at the helm, and the two Chefs will collaborate on what they love best: local, sustainable, elegantly simple European-inspired fare. At this dinner, guests will taste recipes from Andrew’s cookbook paired with stellar collections from Wines of British Columbia.
