Daniel was bit by the wine bug at a Cornucopia Syrah/Shiraz seminar in 2001 and he’s never looked back. After completing his Business Degree in Melbourne, Australia, he returned to BC to complete his Sommelier Diploma with the International Sommelier Guild. He’s run restaurants and curated wine lists in Whistler, Victoria and Desolation Sound. A French Wine Scholar, Italian Wine Specialist, Certified Sherry Wine Specialist, CAPS Member, and active WSET Instructor, teaching for Rhys Pender’s WinePlus+, it’s safe to say Daniel is passionate about wine! When he’s not working with wine, he’s enjoying a glass of wine with his wife, Kelsey, and planning their next adventure with their two daughters.
