Chef Max Straczek
Chef Max Straczek started working in kitchens when he was 13 years old as a dishwasher and working
his way through the ranks. After starting his culinary career in Vancouver, he spent five years abroad
working and traveling through London, Spain, Cypress and finally Poland where he was part of the
opening team at the country’s first Michelin starred restaurant. Upon his return to Vancouver, Straczek
joined the team at Fable Kitchen and earned the title of Concept Chef for both Fable Kitchen and Diner.
He is passionate about the bounty British Columbia has to offer and dedicated to teaching the next
generation of great cooks. He joined Viaggio Hospitality in August 2018 to take the reins at the
remarkable beach view property at Denman and Morton.
