Chef Sandy Chen


Sandy Chen first peaked her interest in cooking when she watch the show “Iron Chef Japan.” She
graduated from VCC and then went on to work at Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel for 3 years. Chen works at
Le tigre Truck with Clement Chan as a Sous Chef. With hard work and dedication she has won the title of
2014 BC chef of the year, 3rd in the National chef of the year, Silver Chef meets BC Grapes competition
2014, “Team” BC healthy chef competition for Best Dessert, gold Provincial Top Chef Culinary
competition,champion of Chef of the year National culinary competition in 2015, and National Culinary
Champion, gold Chef meets BC grapes competition, champion of CCFCC Chef Challenge and won
Healthy Chef culinary competition in 2016. Sandy currently is the Chef de Cuisine at Torafuku and can’t
wait to cook for all the hungry customers, and bring Asian cuisine to the next level.
