Painted Rock Estate Winery
About the Winery
Painted Rock Estate Winery is a family-owned and operated, single-vineyard estate on the Skaha Bench in Penticton, British Columbia. John and Trish Skinner founded the winery in 2004 with a clear vision: to build a family legacy around one exceptional property overlooking Skaha Lake, producing terroir-driven wines that would help raise the bar for Canadian wine.
The 56-acre vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Syrah, and the five classic Bordeaux varieties, and is home to both single-varietal wines and estate blends, including the flagship Red Icon and Rosé. Each wine reflects the unique soils, climate, and west-facing exposure of the bench, crafted to be balanced and ageworthy. Today, Painted Rock’s wines continue to earn national and international recognition, including Gold Medals at WineAlign and being named a Decanter Wine of the Year.
