Tightrope Winery

Tightrope Winery is a small, family-run, sustainable winery on the Naramata Bench. A true labour of love for owners Graham (viticulturist) and Lyndsay O’Rourke (winemaker). We make hand-crafted, sustainable wines with artistry and passion that capture the soul of Naramata – the personality, character, culture and fruit of ‘the Bench’. Tightrope is all about balance. From vineyard to glass, there’s balance at every step; between art and science, education and experience, nature and nurture, work and play, husband and wife.

We consider ourselves stewards of the land and take a wholly sustainable approach from grape to glass. We choose this for the good of the wine, the land and those who work it, and the generations to come. We farm two estate vineyards on the Naramata Bench, Fleet Road which is our home vineyard and the Thomas Vineyard a few kilometers away. As the first Certified Sustainable Winery & Vineyard we incorporate many sustainable practices including no insecticides nor herbicides in the vineyard, solar power, use of winemaking waste materials to generate compost to fertilize the vineyard, and social responsibility to name a few.

You are always welcome to visit us at the Wine Shop and Tasting Room. Our Tasting Room is open by appointment. We do accept walk-ins if space allows.
