For four generations and over more than a century, the Marchetto family has had a history steeped in viticulture and winemaking in the hills of Veneto, North Eastern Italy, cellaring and selling wine to nearby osterias and inns. Our great-grandfather, Giuliano Marchetto planted the first seeds of this family tradition in the 1890s and thanks to our father, Antonio Marchetto, we have continued his legacy and the family’s traditions and techniques for over 50 years in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.
We are a family owned and operated vineyard committed to producing high-quality traditional Italian-style wines. The Fraser Valley region’s warm summers and mild winters make it the ideal growing region for all types of agriculture including aromatic, fruit-forward grapes reminiscent of the ones we grew in Veneto. We cultivate these grapes personally and we believe in allowing the grape to express itself in the wine and allow the flavours to develop naturally, with as little intervention as possible.
