OLIVER Wine Country
Oliver Wine region
The ‘Wine Capital of Canada’, Oliver is home to nearly half of British Columbia’s vines and more than 40 wineries. To the west, the Golden Mile Bench soaks up the morning sun making it ideal for white wines such as Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, and bright fruity reds like Cabernet Franc.
To the east lies the Black Sage Bench which basks in the afternoon sun and cultivates powerful red wines and full-flavoured whites. The combination of hot days and cool nights produces fruit with the perfect BC balance – exceptional flavours as well as vibrant acidity. Some of the valley’s top dining destinations are located at these wineries, and others offer elegant accommodations so you can truly immerse yourself in BC wine country.
