James Langford-Smith, Jordan kubek and Tyler Knight teamed up to bring Pamplemousse Jus to yous. with over a decade each working in all aspects of the wine world they are excited and grateful to be working on their farm together and proudly present these fun loving wines available at all your favourite shops and restaurants. James hails from Western Australia and moved to BC when he was 19 forming an immediate passion for all things hospitality. He has help start and worked in independent restaurants in Tofino and Vancouver. James is head of sales and helps out on all aspects of farming and making the wine. Jordan has been making wine in BC and abroad since 2010 and formed a passion for natural wine right from the beginning. Using her knowledge to do as little as possible to guide the wines with gentle hands from field to bottle. Tyler is really the guy who does all the work on the farm from maintaining farm equipment, to running the vineyard, to making the wine with his wife Jordan. All three are a team with different strengths but a shared passion and vision.
In 2023 a dream became a reality when we were able to purchase our 10 acre farm in beautiful, Summerland, BC. Our farm has a long history of farming organically and is one of the only vineyards in Canada growing Leon Millot. We are also growing Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The vineyard is situated on a west facing slope of sandy loam, granite and clay and gets plenty of sunshine. On the flat clay field our neighbours and friends just planted cider apples for their cidery, Dominion. The farmhouse is over 100 years old and is available for booking to welcome agri-tourism visitors this summer.
This is natural wine, baby! Neutral vessels, basket press, manual labour and wild ferments create these wines. The wines are made in a garage turned winery with basic winemaking equipment and a whole lot of happy hearts. Pamplemousse Jus works hard experimenting with unusual blends and winemaking styles to bring you the freshest, yummiest wines possible.
