AIDV CANADA WEBINAR

There remains little evidence of tangible progress on achieving free trade in wine in Canada, despite political commitments to enable it by the one-year deadline publicly set by the federal government.
AIDV Canada’s February 2026 webinar will imagine the desired achievement of free trade in Canadian wine and other beverages, and reverse-engineer the essential features of a potential legal and policy framework. “What needs to take place by May 2026 to establish an effective framework to achieve direct-to-consumer free trade in wine in Canada?”
Expert panelists will discuss the relevant legal and public policies that could create a workable system to benefit the wine industry and consumers. Effectively, the panel will engage in a gap analysis of what hasn’t (yet) been achieved by the political level and provincial liquor boards.
