Title: Guest Experiences Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Guest Experiences Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations at Painted Rock Estate Winery. This seasonal position runs from March through early November.
Painted Rock is a family-owned and operated winery dedicated to producing ultra-premium wines from our single estate vineyard on the Skaha Bench in Penticton, BC.
The successful candidate will support the Tasting Room Manager and Director of Estate Experiences in leading our hospitality team while ensuring every guest experience at the estate runs smoothly, professionally and feels genuinely welcoming.
About the Role
This is a hands-on hospitality position that combines tasting room leadership, guest hosting and event support. The Seasonal Hospitality Supervisor oversees tasting room operations mid-week, hosts tastings throughout the season, and assists with the coordination and execution of winery events and weddings.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive, professional work environment for tasting room associates, with a strong focus on guest experience and service excellence.
- Serve as Tasting Room Supervisor on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, overseeing daily operations and supporting the team.
- Lead and host wine tastings on days without scheduled events, delivering knowledgeable and engaging service to guests.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of winery events and weddings (approximately 6–7 throughout the season).
- Respond promptly to tasting room emails and phone inquiries.
- Maintain a welcoming, professional presence with guests and team members.
- Assist with food preparation and service during tasting experiences.
- Educate guests about the Wine Club and encourage sign-ups.

- Perform opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Previous tasting room or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of and passion for wine required.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Confident hosting tastings and speaking with guests about wine in a professional and engaging manner.
- Comfortable supporting events and working calmly during busy service periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other computer systems.
- Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings.
- Experience with Commerce 7 POS and Tock reservation system is an asset.
- Must be 19 years of age and have a Serving it Right Certificate & Food Safe Certificate.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Join Frind Winery as a Sous Chef to join our winery kitchen team. Reporting to the Head Chef, this role supports daily operations, including food preparation, team supervision, and maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and kitchen safety, while contributing to menu development.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from scratch with emphasis on fresh, local Okanagan ingredients.
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring dishes are plated attractively and in line with the restaurant and/or winery aesthetic.
- Assist in the development and testing of new menu items, considering seasonality, customer preferences, and ingredient availability.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, cost control, and inventory and food waste management.
- Monitor food production levels and adjust as needed to meet demand while minimizing waste.
- Ensure adherence to portion control and food quality standards.
- Assist the Head Chef with mentoring kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen personnel.

- Coordinate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Communicate effectively with servers when accommodating special requests and dietary restrictions.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of food production, waste, and usage.
- Collaborate with Head Chef on menu cost analysis and pricing decisions.
- Act as the Head Chef during their absence.
- Resolves any kitchen-related issues or emergencies in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma plus a minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience in a high-quality, high-volume food service or catering environment is required, with at least 2 years in a similar role as outlined above or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completion of Food Safety Level 1 certification is required.
- Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
- Proven experience in recipe development, portion control, and maintaining quality standards.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, and global cuisines is required.

About Us
Tree fruit and wine grape growers in British Columbia’s interior are facing serious labour challenges. Domestic participation in agricultural work has declined, while reliance on temporary foreign workers has grown. Interior growers are asking for help. What’s missing is a unifying, region-specific labour strategy with actions designed to meet the unique needs of the tree fruit and wine grape sectors. We also lack capacity to research and advance policies and programs that may be suitable for our commodities.
Four industry groups – BC Fruit Growers’ Association, BC Cherry Association, BC Wine Grape Council, and BC Grapegrowers’ Association – are contracting a shared labour coordinator to help develop a regional labour strategy for tree fruit and wine grape industries, provide recommendations to address system-level barriers in federal and provincial labour policies and programs, and develop practical solutions to housing, training, and workforce challenges.
The BC Fruit Growers’ Association will administer the project and provide workspace for the Regional Labour Coordinator. An oversight committee with representation from each organization will determine priorities, oversee annual work plans, and evaluate performance.
The Role
As the Regional Labour Coordinator, you will drive important initiatives that strengthen the interior horticultural sector and contribute to the long-term success of fruit growers. In partnership with a small but dedicated team, you will create the first-ever labour strategy for tree fruits and wine grapes, prepare policy briefs and white papers, and produce annual labour needs assessment reports. You will also work on best practices guides, newsletter updates, webinars, and other communication materials for industry associations and their grower members. This role is ideal for a solutions-oriented and collaborative leader with exceptional communication, research, and analysis skills and a passion for the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate the project oversight committee, prepare annual work
plans and manage budgets, liaise with stakeholders and funders to gather input and build support,
and measure and report progress. - Labour Strategy: Develop a regional labour strategy, analyze workforce trends and risks, and align
strategy with industry priorities. - Policies and Programs: Research, evaluate, and develop policies and programs for initiatives like
primary and secondary employer designations, international tourist backpackers visas for short-term
agricultural work, and farm worker housing. - Strategic Projects – Domestic Labour: Develop initiatives and pursue funding and partnerships to
improve local worker attraction, housing access, and retention. - Workforce Planning and Coordination: Assess annual and seasonal labour demand across tree fruit
and wine grape sectors, identify shared timelines, bottleneck, and opportunities for collaboration, and develop coordinated labour forecasts and recruitment strategies.
Ideal Candidate
As an applicant, you will have:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. policy, planning, governance, administration, human
resources, agriculture, environmental science). - Exceptional policy research and analysis skills.
- Project and/or program management experience, including budgeting and work planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of creativity.
- Ability to see the big picture and identify what could be rather than just what is.
- Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Experience leading committees.
- Superior ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.
- Familiarity with BC’s tree fruit and wine grape industries and related agricultural policies and programs is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Vineyard Foreman for the Central Okanagan, with multi-season expertise, who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of approximately 200 acres of company-managed vineyards. This role oversees vineyard health, supervises labour, tracks key data, and manages costs across assigned sites.
The Foreman ensures vineyards are regularly scouted and well maintained to remain healthy, productive, and disease-free. This position also plays an important role in collecting and reporting viticulture data that supports decisions around pruning, crop load, frost protection, irrigation, and harvest planning. Strong field presence, hands-on vineyard knowledge, careful observation, and clear, proactive communication are essential to success in this role.
This position is based at our Black Mountain Vineyard location at 1325 Mackenzie Rd, Kelowna, BC, V1P 1C4.
Responsibilities
Vineyard Operations
- Assume day-to-day ownership of assigned vineyard blocks, ensuring all cultural practices are completed according to viticultural plans, seasonal timelines, and quality standards.
- Execute and oversee all vineyard operations including pruning, tying, shoot positioning, wire management, leaf removal, cluster thinning, hand hoeing, tractor operations, irrigation management, and harvest activities.
- Take direct responsibility for vineyard health, ensuring vines are maintained in a disease-free condition through proactive monitoring, prevention, and timely intervention.
- Conduct regular, vineyard scouting for pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, water stress, frost damage, and vine balance.

In this leadership position, you will shape and advance Noble Ridge’s brand voice through integrated marketing programs, expanded public relations efforts, and a robust digital and social media presence.
The successful candidate brings extensive marketing experience within the wine or luxury goods sector, exceptional relationship-building skills, and an ability to lead teams, manage partners, and achieve strategic objectives. You will oversee all marketing functions, cultivate key partnerships, and ensure alignment across all Noble Ridge’s activities to deliver a cohesive brand experience.
You will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Sales and Hospitality and tasting room teams to create memorable guest experiences that foster loyalty and grow the Noble Ridge community both on-site and beyond.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the annual marketing plan, including budgeting, promotions, KPIs, and performance measurement.
- Design and execute an integrated marketing roadmap that enhances brand awareness, increases tasting room visitation, and accelerates Wine Club growth.
- Manage and collaborate with external partners, including creative and media agencies, to extend Noble Ridge’s reach and influence.
- Plan digital marketing initiatives across social media, email, search, and paid advertising platforms to build engagement and demand.
- Coordinate and execute wine club activities including communication and packing logistics.
- Manage website content, updates, and overall digital brand presence.
- Collaborate in the creation and execution of on-site and off-site events that attract media attention, strengthen relationships, and acquire new customers.
- Lead brand storytelling initiatives that clearly communicate Noble Ridge’s premium positioning and luxury identity and ensure brand alignment across all communications.
- Collaborate in the planning and execution of professional photography and video production to support marketing and sales efforts.
- Stay informed on market trends and consumer behavior to guide strategy and identify opportunities.
- In partnership with the Senior Director of Sales and Hospitality, convert marketing initiatives into revenue growth across direct-to-consumer, Wine Club, and wholesale channels.
- Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, trade functions, and professional forums.
- Deliver regular performance updates and budget reports to the senior leadership team.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of five years of marketing leadership experience, within the wine or luxury consumer space.
- Strong expertise in premium and luxury brand strategy.
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
- Solid financial literacy and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of digital marketing platforms, analytics, and customer acquisition strategies.

Story

General Information
Filming Location: Kelowna to Penticton, BC
Required
All couples: Couples between ages 30 – 60, comfortable on camera, swirling, smelling wine.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Release Form: Release forms will need to be signed and submitted in advance of photoshoot.
Information: Models with past photoshoot experience preferred, relaxed in front of a camera, creative, able to provide a wardrobe with options aligned with wardrobe guidance document.
COVID-19: In accordance with current COVID-19 provincial restrictions couples must be from the same immediate household or within the same core bubble and able to transport themselves to photoshoot locations from Kelowna to Penticton.

Tasting Room Associate/Server
Chain Reaction Winery & Pizzeria is a small boutique winery and artisan pizzeria on the Naramata Bench. Our tasting room opened in spring 2022, followed by the pizza oven in 2024. Our wines have won numerous awards – both within Canada and internationally. Our Neapolitan style pizza has been described in our Google reviews as world class and life changing. It has been described as the last meal they would want if they were on death row. We use only the best ingredients for our unique pizzas, and are striving to use more local farm ingredients (such as using our own peaches in our seasonal Sweet Cheeks pizza). One of our owners is the winemaker and also the pizza guy.
We describe ourselves as funky but classy, and always fun and full of laughter. If this feels like work, then we’re doing something wrong.
