British Columbia is taking its place on the world stage for the quality of our wine, and wineries across the province are exploring ways to grow their business revenues by offering immersive experiences to visitors.

Presented by Destination BC in partnership with Wine Growers British Columbia, Firecircle, and supported by Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan), the Cultivating Experiences: Elevating BC Wine Tourism program was designed specifically for BC wineries looking to enhance their wine tourism offerings. The program provided practical, actionable guidance for winery owners, operations managers, marketing teams, and events managers to tap into new markets, increase revenue potential, and elevate the wine tourism landscape of British Columbia.

This program highlights the united effort of Wine Growers BC and Destination BC to position the province as a premier destination for remarkable tourism experiences. Participants benefited from virtual workshops, valuable market research, and personalized mentorship, all aimed at helping each winery launch a unique and memorable wine tourism offering.

Valued at over $15,000 per participant, this program was offered at no cost to the ten wineries selected from the Wine Growers British Columbia membership. From program launch in 2023, to summer of 2024, these wineries have worked diligently to bring their innovative visions to market. These wineries are now ready to welcome visitors with their new, immersive wine tourism experiences, setting a new standard for wine tourism in British Columbia.
