BC On-Farm Technology Adoption Program – Intake 3 Now Open

The BC On-Farm Technology Adoption Program is now accepting applications for its third intake. This initiative will provide $2.4 million in cost-shared funding to eligible BC-based producers to support the adoption of new technologies that enhance on-farm profitability, productivity, and/or efficiency. The goal is to help alleviate the ongoing impacts of labour shortages and rising operational costs.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must:

• Be based in British Columbia
• Be appropriately registered, licensed, and/or certified to conduct business in BC
• Have at least two years of operational history
• Have earned at least $50,000 in annual revenue in each of the past two years from producing primary BC agriculture commodities (e.g., fruit, vegetables, grains, livestock)

Note: Exceptions apply for those impacted by crop loss in recent years

Eligible participants include agricultural producers and Indigenous businesses or entrepreneurs engaged in primary agriculture or traditional food production practices. Cannabis producers are now also eligible under this intake.

Funding and Support: This is a competitive program—funding is not guaranteed. Financial support is provided through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP), a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The program is delivered by Innovate BC.
