Taste Canada London & Oslo Registration Deadline

February 13, 2025

In addition to the UK market, most wineries are interested in undertaking a collective initiative in Denmark first and then Norway in terms of European markets. While there will not be a Taste Canada initiative in Denmark in FY 25/26, the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) of Global Affairs Canada will be organizing a new market initiative in Norway, following the annual Canada House tasting in London in May.

Dates:

London: May 12 – the annual Canada House tasting in London with an optional self-pay industry group dinner in the evening.

Oslo:  May 13, 14, 15 – Tasting with Norwegian sommeliers, trade, media and monopoly buyers, masterclass, walk around tasting and tour of Flagship Vinmonoplet (monopoly) store. Details TBC and sent upon confirmation of registration.

Registration Fees: The registration fee is anticipated to be CDN$1000 per winery for London and CDN$500 per winery for Oslo. Final amounts will be determined once we have the actual number of participating wineries and contribution amounts from provincial and industry partners.

The TCS will organize and project manage this multi-country initiative which is open to all Canadian wineries. Please register no later than February 13, 2025.

Registration Includes:

One table station in London and Oslo with additional tables for a fee and space permitting.

Consolidation and shipment of product samples to be sent as a diplomatic shipment by Global Affairs Canada. Information on drop off points and deadlines sent with your confirmation of registration in late February.

Participating wineries are responsible for staffing their own tables and providing all samples for the walk around tastings and masterclasses.

Note that space is limited, with priority given to wineries active in the UK and Norwegian markets and to those who are export ready.

Please note that the first 25 wineries will be able to claim a 50% reimbursement on a return flight to the UK up to a maximum of $2000 ($1000 reimbursable) through the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Agri-marketing Program (AMP) funding and Wine Growers Canada will be in touch with participating wineries with further details once your registration is confirmed.
