Exclusive Visa Infinite Wine Country Experiences Return to British Columbia

July 25, 2013 / by: Darren

July 25, 2013 (Kelowna, BC) – The British Columbia Wine Institute (BCWI) has teamed up again with Visa Infinite to create the ultimate wine touring program, exclusively for Visa Infinite cardholders. This year, more than 30 BC wineries have developed special benefits ranging from complimentary tastings to unique winery experiences to exclusive special events.

The Visa Infinite Wine Country Experiences go beyond the bottle, giving cardholders an insider’s look at the 31 partner wineries. Each winery offers cardholders an exclusive benefit, including complimentary tastings, in-depth vineyard tours, behind-the-scenes winery tours, private barrel tastings, and discounts ranging from 10 to 20 per cent. These benefits allow access to unique BC Wine Country Experiences, creating amazing memories to be enjoyed again and again each time a bottle of BC wine is opened.

The 2013 program also features a series of delectable long-table winery dinners, held at some of British Columbia’s most breathtaking wineries. The long-table dining series kicked off on Saturday, July 20 with a sold-out dinner at Tantalus Vineyards. Renowned Canadian Chef Jamie Kennedy and local Chef Mark Filatow wowed the guests with their culinary creations, perfectly paired with some of BC’s best wines. Cardholders still have the chance to enjoy the final two offerings in the dinner series at CedarCreek Estate Winery and Tinhorn Creek Vineyards; each dinner will bring together top chefs from across the country, paired with some of the best wines BC has to offer. The culmination of the Visa Infinite Wine Country Experiences program this year will be the Ultimate Winery Weekend Escape in September.

“We are excited to be partnering with Visa Infinite on this exclusive program again this year,” notes BCWI Executive Director Miles Prodan. “British Columbia has outstanding wine and culinary adventures to offer. This program shows the breadth of experiences that guests can enjoy in BC Wine Country.”
