Experience BC’s Perfect Pairings in Whistler
October 22, 2013 (Kelowna, BC) – The British Columbia Wine Institute (BCWI) is excited to bring the Perfect Pairings program to Whistler as part of Cornucopia Whistler’s Celebration of Wine & Food. On Saturday, November 9, Sidecut at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler will host six local chefs and 13 of BC’s best wineries combining to create a delicious evening of Perfect Pairings.
Following successful sold-out events in Vancouver and Kelowna, Experience BC’s Perfect Pairings at Sidecut marks the third of four province-wide Perfect Pairing dinners. Sidecut Executive Chef Tory Martindale and guest chefs Matthew Batey (Mission Hill Family Estate Winery, West Kelowna), Trevor Bird (Fable Restaurant, Vancouver), Jeff Van Geest (Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards, Oliver), Daniel Hudson (Hudson’s on First, Duncan) and Chris Whittaker (Forage, Vancouver) will create an unforgettable menu thoughtfully paired with BC VQA wines selected by renowned Vancouver-based sommelier and wine educator DJ Kearney. Guests will be joined by the following wineries: Bella, Dessert Hills Estate Winery, Fort Berens Estate Winery, Haywire Winery, Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate, Lake Breeze Vineyards, Mission Hill Family Estate Winery, Nk’Mip Cellars, Osoyoos Larose, Stoneboat Vineyards, Therapy Vineyards, Tinhorn Creek Vineyards and Wild Goose Vineyards and Winery.
