FREE Shatterproof Wine Glasses May 1 at 19 BC VQA Stores

April 28, 2014 / by: Darren

For Immediate Release

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Savvy shoppers can pick up a FREE gift with purchase at any one of their favourite BC VQA stores if they act fast. Starting Thursday, May 1st, 2014, all 19 BC VQA stores around the province will be featuring five wines as a part of their ‘As Seen on TV’ promotion. Branded shatterproof wine glasses will be awarded with every two-bottle purchase, in any combination, of the following featured wines, while supplies last:

  • Joie Noble Blend $23.86
  • Church and State Viognier $19.90
  • Quails’ Gate Chardonnay $19.99
  • Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Noir $24.99
  • Hester Creek Cabernet Merlot $18.95

Sommelier Mireille Sauvé took to the air with these bottles as an expert guest on Shaw Cable’s The Rush TV show with Fiona Forbes. She tasted through all five wines, telling the story of BC’s VQA wines and the remarkable quality that they represent. The TV spot is posted on the network’s YouTube channel – watch it here – and a QR code to this link will also be included on all the promotional shelf-talkers in-store during the giveaway period.

BC VQA Wine Stores carry the widest selection of the Wines of British Columbia available, all at BC Liquor Store prices. Some stores stock as many as 500 different wines – the only way to access more selection is to tour wine country and visit each and every winery yourself. See below for a complete list of where you can find the best selection of handcrafted BC VQA wines in the Okanagan Valley, Lower Mainland (Fraser Valley), Vancouver Island or Kootenays.

Consumers can stroll into any one of the 19 BC VQA stores beginning May 1st, scan the QR code from the shelf-talkers with their smartphones, and watch right there as a certified wine professional takes them through a TV tutorial on five spectacular BC VQA wines. Once they have selected their favourites, they will be given a FREE shatterproof wine glass for every two bottles purchased – a perfect opportunity to start a collection of both wonderful wines and the glasses from which to drink them!
