KELOWNA, BC – The British Columbia Wine Institute (BCWI) is launching its new Explore BC VQA Wine campaign to encourage wine consumers to experience BC’s premium wine touring regions, support local Wines of British Columbia year-round, and enter for an opportunity to win one of three seasonal BC VQA Wine tour experiences.

“We are very excited to be launching this seasonal campaign, to promote the depth of variety and authentic quality of BC VQA Wine and the unique wine regions that can be enjoyed during all seasons,” explains BC Wine Institute Marketing Director Maggie Anderson. “Through this campaign, we are reaching BC wine consumers through multiple channels to inspire them to support their local grapegrowers and winemakers by choosing BC VQA Wines.”

Launching on Monday, September 19, Explore BC VQA Wine will appeal to British Columbians’ sense of local pride and drive home the message that when you choose a BC VQA Wine, you are enjoying a product that is 100 per cent grown and made in British Columbia. The campaign will feature promotions in top Vancouver restaurants, private liquor stores, BC Liquor Stores, and BC VQA Wine Stores throughout the province.

In addition to the in-store promotions, the BCWI is running an Explore BC VQA Wine and Win contest on Instagram and Twitter with a chance to win one of three #ExploreBCWine prizes. These seasonal prize packages include flights, accommodation and winery experiences for two to discover BC Wine Country and all it has to offer in autumn, winter and spring over three days and two nights.

To enter, consumers are invited to share an image of their favourite or newly discovered BC VQA Wine on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #ExploreBCWine. For full contest details, visit WineBC.com/ExploreBCVQAWine.

From September 19 through October 31, 2016, consumers can enter for a chance to win the #ExploreBCWine autumn tour experience package. During this time, the BCWI is featuring BC VQA Wine displays in participating BC VQA Wine Stores across the province. For a list of participating stores, click here.

“With Labour Day weekend behind us, we now turn our sights to the many wonderful things that our province has to offer in autumn, including the perfect BC VQA Wine to compliment a delicious Thanksgiving feast,” notes Anderson.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the Explore BC VQA Wine radio and digital ads, as well as billboards throughout BC. For more information about the campaign, visit WineBC.com.
