Winemakers & Viticulturists’ Forum

The Winemakers & Viticulturists’ Forum is an annual initiative by Wine Growers British Columbia, fostering engagement with winegrowers across BC’s nine regions. The forum provides a platform for professionals to discuss vineyard growing conditions, challenges, mitigation techniques, and the unique characteristics of wines from the vintage. Insights gathered contribute to the BC Wine Vintage Report—an essential tool for educating about and promoting BC wine.

In November 2024, BC grapegrowers, viticulturists, and winemakers participated in the 18th annual forum through regional roundtable events held both in-person and virtually. This year, WGBC refined the format to focus on intimate, region-specific discussions, recognizing the diverse challenges across BC. Rhys Pender, MW, facilitated four tailored roundtables, enhancing the depth of dialogue.

REGISTRATION FOR THE VINTAGE ROUNDTABLE EVENTS IS NOW CLOSED.

Vintage 2024 Survey

The results of the survey allow WGBC to offer a well-facilitated discussion at the Forum for you to participate in and learn from. The aggregate data collected maybe used for future government support and results also contribute to the publication of the BC Wine Grape Vintage Report for 2024 – a tool used to educate and assist media, trade, and other stakeholders in the promotion of BC wine.

THE 2024 VINTAGE SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED.
