Winemakers & Viticulturists Vintage 2024 Roundtable Events

Wine Growers British Columbia (WGBC) is pleased to invite BC grapegrowers’, viticulturists, and winemakers to submit their interest in participating in one of our 2024 Vintage Roundtable events. This year, we’re evolving the format of the annual Winemakers & Viticulturists Forum to create more intimate and region-specific discussions, recognizing the unique challenges faced across BC. Instead of a single virtual event, Rhys Pender, MW, will facilitate four separate roundtables:

District Wine Village
Friday, November 15
12:00 PM to 2:00 PM *no food provided please plan accordingly
Registration for this event is now closed, if you are interested in attending please email Kelly Josephson.

These roundtables will offer a unique opportunity to connect with your peers, sharing insights and reflections on the season. The discussions at the forum will help to inform the annual vintage report, an important tool to ensure trade and media are well informed when they are promoting BC wines from this vintage.

*Seating is extremely limited for the in-person round table events, please provide as much detail as possible when you submit your interest. Attendees will be selected based on a variety of factors such as vineyard location(s), varieties grown, viticulture techniques employed etc. We aim to ensure a diverse range of experiences are contributing to the discussion.

Ahead of the forum, we encourage you to complete the Vintage Survey, even if you have experience no or a minimal harvest this year, which will provide valuable data to guide discussions. Your input in the survey also contributes to the BC Wine Grape Vintage Report.

Please note: Participation in the roundtable events is exclusive to BC winemakers, viticulturists, and grapegrowers’. The events will not be streamed live or recorded for distribution, and all survey responses will remain confidential.

Vintage 2024 Survey

Wine Growers British Columbia is inviting winemakers, viticulturists, and grapegrowers’ from across the province to take the BC Wine Grape Survey submitting information from their experience over the growing season of 2024. If you will not have a BC grape harvest for 2024, we would still like to capture your experience in the vineyards this season, as well as understand the steps you are taking in your vineyard and/or to source grapes from elsewhere. Feel free to skip questions/sections if they do not relate to your experience this year.

Primarily, theses survey results contribute to the publication of the annual BC Wine Grape Vintage Report – a tool used to educate and assist media, trade, and other stakeholders in the promotion of BC wine. The aggregate data collected through this survey may also be used for future government support.

Thank you for taking the time to provide these important details. The estimated time it will take you to complete this survey is 25 minutes. Your responses will be kept confidential.
