Try-Before-You-Buy with BC VQA Wines and BC Liquor Stores

June 10, 2014 / by: Darren

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Customers of BC Liquor Stores have an exciting opportunity this month, thanks to BC VQA wines. There are 20 in-store tastings scheduled to run in various Lower Mainland stores (schedule), allowing shoppers to “Try-Before-You-Buy” with some of BC’s tastiest wines. Additionally, the 12 wines, featured in 20 stores, will be decorated with informative neck towers that offer instructions on how to enter to WIN a wine touring vacation for two to British Columbia wine country.

One lucky winner will be awarded a fantasy trip which includes three nights’ accommodation, eight winery tours and tastings plus three dinners for two, valued at approximately $2,000! The wineries featured in the prize include:

  • CedarCreek Estate Winery
  • Hester Creek Estate Winery
  • Inniskillin Okanagan Vineyards
  • Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate
  • Nk’Mip Cellars
  • Mission Hill Family Estate Winery
  • Quails’ Gate Winery
  • Summerhill Pyramid Winery

Customers entering any of the participating BC Liquor Stores this month will be greeted by BC VQA bottles featuring contest entry instructions, or British Columbia residents can simply enter on-line at www.winebc.com/contest – no purchase necessary.

The contest closes June 30!

Boasting nearly 82 per cent of the total vineyard acreage in the province, the Okanagan Valley is BC’s premier grapegrowing region. An ever-changing panorama, the Valley stretches over 250 kilometres, across distinct sub-regions, each with different soil and climate conditions suited to a growing range of grape varieties.

Have a taste of Canada’s own paradise – enter to WIN your Okanagan getaway today!
