Home Team Shines at BC Liquor Stores this August
July 24, 2013 (Kelowna, BC) – The month of August marks many British Columbians’ favourite time of year – blissful summer! BC Liquor Stores celebrates the rich abundance of our local vineyards by showcasing the wines of British Columbia in over 100 store locations.
In support of this promotion, the Wines of British Columbia will host a total of five special events in Signature BC Liquor Stores throughout the month. 39th & Cambie is home to two Demonstration Cooking classes, featuring the home-grown BC VQA wines as presented by WestEnder’s Wine Columnist Kurtis Kolt in cooperation with some of Vancouver’s most enviro-savvy chefs, co-presenting to an intimate audience of 24 ticket-holders. 12 of BC’s cherished VQA wines will be tasted with food pairings, telling the engaging story of BC vineyards from one glass to the next.

Three FREE consumer events will also take place throughout the month at various stores around the province. These events will guide consumers through tastings of a wide selection of featured BC VQA wines, along with small bites of locally-sourced foods which are crafted by some of the region’s most exciting chefs.
