British Columbia – Wine Growers British Columbia (WGBC) invites you to attend the 2021 Canadian Wine Industry Recognition Awards Virtual Ceremony on Wednesday, July 21 , 2021. The annual WGBC recognition awards recognize two recipients including one non-winery and one winery representative for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the BC wine industry. Following a challenging year, it is more important than ever to recognize our industry peers and commend them on their passion, determination and perseverance.

WGBC Industry Recognition Award
This recipient was nominated for their work in promoting, writing and teaching about local 100% BC wines and devotion to increasing the awareness and appreciation of BC’s wine industry nationally and internationally. Established in 2013, the Industry Recognition Award honours a non-winery industry individual, business or organization for support of the BC wine industry and BC VQA Wine through media, research, policy, regulation, education, advocacy or other means significantly contributing to the overall strength and long-term viability of the industry
WGBC Award of Distinction
This recipient was nominated for their entrepreneurial passion for selling BC VQA Wine, and countless hours of developing creative initiatives to promote and celebrate British Columbia’s world-class wines.
Established in 2016, the Award of Distinction, recognizes a winery representative for their outstanding leadership, commitment and passion for the advancement of the British Columbia wine industry.
This year’s virtual ceremony will be jointly held with the Wine Growers Canada’s Recognition Awards on July 21, following the Canadian Wine Growers Symposium 2021. We will be joined by past award recipient, wine and food writer, Hired-Belly, Tim Pawsey to present a keynote address.
