US ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MARKET COLA WAIVER PROGRAM WEBINAR
The Consulate General of Canada in Detroit has partnered with a US law firm and an Importers Permit holder entity to provide information and the opportunity for Canadian companies to obtain a Certificate of Label Approval (COLA) Waiver for the purpose of exporting samples to interested importers, distributors and for trade events at no cost. In addition to providing COLA waivers through 2025, a principal of Miller Canfield, Chris Gartman, will lead two webinars covering topics such as the three-tier system, tied house rules, strategies for picking a wholesaler, clearing customs with samples, and key contract clauses to consider in a wholesaler contract. Any Canadian beer, wine, and spirit exporters may participate in the Webinar Series and COLA Waiver components of the program. All companies must register to participate.
