BC Wine Institute announces new Marketing Director

February 28, 2011 (Kelowna, BC) – The British Columbia Wine Institute (BCWI) is pleased to welcome Maggie Anderson to their team as Marketing Director. In this role, Maggie will be responsible for branding, positioning and marketing the Wines of BC (BC VQA) brand, executing BCWI events and sponsorships and working on BC VQA Wine Store marketing, among other projects.

Maggie brings over 10 years of marketing experience to the role. Most recently, she held the position of Marketing Manager for B.C. Tree Fruits Limited where she was responsible for a successful re-brand and building consumer loyalty to the B.C. Tree Fruits brand. Not only does Maggie bring extensive agri-tourism experience, but she has also held positions at Mission Hill Family Estate Winery and Palandri Wines (Australia).

Miles Prodan, BCWI Executive Director, is thrilled to welcome Maggie to the team noting that, “Maggie’s knowledge of the agri-tourism industry, combined with her proven marketing experience make her the ideal candidate for this position and we are excited to continue growing the BC VQA brand”.
